Rules

The short version: everyone plays the same levels, lives refill on their own, reward videos are optional, and every win is checked.

How the game works

Tenaz runs in seasons. Each story has the same 30 levels, and your progress and rank are separate in each story.

  • Levels are short and played against the clock. Clear a level to open the next one.
  • Boss levels chain two or three challenges in a row. Failing any of them fails the level.
  • Each cleared level earns 1 to 3 stars from your total time: faster runs earn more. Replays keep your best result.
  • Some levels also need stars from earlier levels to open: level 10 needs 20 stars, level 20 needs 45 stars, level 30 needs 75 stars.

Lives

  • You have up to 5 lives. A new life arrives every 30 minutes until you are back to 5.
  • Starting a level uses one life.
  • Clearing the level gives that life back.
  • Leaving a level before it ends counts as a try, so that life is used.

Ads and rewards

Ads keep Tenaz free. Watching a rewarded video is always your choice, and the reward is shown before it plays.

  • From level 4, an ad may show when you tap Next level or Try again. You can close it and carry on, and it never shows right after a rewarded video.
  • The home page and story pages may show a banner ad.
  • A rewarded video can give you +1 life, up to 10 times a day.
  • After a fail, a rewarded video can give you one second chance at that part of the level, when the level allows it.
  • A level cleared with a second chance earns 1 star, and second chances count against you in leaderboard ties.
  • If you are out of lives and no video is available, you can take 1 free life a day instead.
  • Lives and second chances exist only inside the game. They have no money value and cannot be exchanged or transferred.

Fair play

A result only counts after our servers check it.

  • The game records the moves you make in each level. The server replays them and counts a win only when the replay reaches the same result.
  • Runs with timings no person could produce are rejected.
  • Some levels draw one of several equally hard versions each time you play, so answers cannot be shared.
  • Using bots, scripts or other tools to play for you gets your results removed from the leaderboard.

Leaderboard

Players are ranked by levels cleared, then by the lowest total of their best times, then by the fewest second chances used, then by who got there first.

  • Players with a confirmed email can choose a display name. Everyone else appears as Player # and a number.
  • AI rivals are computer benchmarks, not real players. They are marked AI, never take a rank and are not counted in player numbers.
  • You can see the global top, the top in your country and the players ranked around you.
